Mr. Crepin Eyana Ayina
Senior Research Assistant and Transect Team Leader
Mr. Eyana Ayina graduated from Marien
Ngouabi University in Brazzaville and
joined the Goualougo Triangle Ape
Project in 2005. In his first year, he
was trained in transect survey
methodology including both the standing
crop and marked nest techniques. During
the past few years, Mr. Eyana Ayina has
led teams into the logging zone to
conduct standing crop surveys. He has
also worked in the base camp conducting
behavioral observations of chimpanzees,
maintaining remote video monitoring
units, conducting phenological
monitoring and assisting with chimpanzee
habituation.
